Solo Valentine

Doing the things I love and treating myself.

Another holiday gone! Wooo, this one can be hard for many, Valentine's Day. I usually don't care about it even when I was dating someone but it's still nice to have a chocolate heart, some flowers, blah blah. As we continue quarantine during this pandemic it can feel even lonelier but I didn't let it bother me. The week before I spent time with my friends who I haven't seen since October and had a Galentine's Day Brunch. We drank, ate, laughed, talked about real life, exchanged gifts and played games. The following week I decided to buy myself balloons the day before Valentine's Day and have fun.

I decided to wear by beautiful lingerie with my Kiki de Montparnasse red handcuff robe and my red Christian Louboutin heels. I did my makeup and hair and decided to do a photoshoot in my bedroom. I don't plan my content in advance, I go with the flow. I do what feels good and I wanted to share with my fellow single ladies that you can create your own scene. You can look and feel great about yourself. Now more than ever we should take the time to love ourselves. I wanted to give my fellow single ladies permission to celebrate themselves and not a holiday that just promotes couples in love.

I made myself a steak dinner, had a glass of wine and a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolate that I got from my Galetine's Day the previous week. This whole day was about love and so I did things I loved. I worked out, I dressed up, I ate great food, yummy chocolates and I watched movies. To be more specific action movies. I shared on my social media platforms and I told my girls to enjoy this moment more than ever. Valentine's Day is not just for couples but a reminder that you have to show yourself how important you are and love yourself. And I have to say my pictures came out pretty good for just having a cell phone and tripod.
