A Peruvian Fusion Restaurant In The West Village.

A New Find With Yummy Food, Great Cocktails And A Vibe.

Yesterday I met a friend for lunch to talk about some business. We wanted something fun and chill. We wanted to make sure we were able to talk but we wanted a vibe. We picked a spot in the West Village called Baby Brasa. It’s an organic Peruvian Fusion restaurant. I looked at the menu and it was enticing. They have tapas, ceviche, salads and more. I decided it was time to get back on track with my clean eating again and when I looked at the menu it was the perfect choice.

As I walked towards the restaurant the outside was decorated with palm trees at the entrance, they had sidewalk dining that was covered as well. It was very pretty, however it’s summer in the city and now that you can dine inside, I opted to sit inside for the air conditioning. The inside was small but cute. It had a large section to dine by the window.

I waited a few minutes for my friend at the bar and it had a slushy machine mixing its cocktail concoction and palm trees wallpaper on the walls. When my friend arrived, we sat by the window and ordered their cocktail, Stay Gold, which was tequila with passionfruit. I counted that towards my carb intake. I was hungry but I didn’t want anything heavy, so I ordered their arugula mango salad with salmon and miso sauce. It was a big salad, and the flavors were fantastic. The mango was perfectly ripe, and the salmon was crispy outside and juicy inside.

It was quiet at first but then it started to fill up a bit, I have a feeling it really livens up at night. They have different themed nights, bingo, live music, and DJs. I will go back to visit, and I will probably go at night to check out the vibe, but it was a great discovery. Not to mention that the menu fits well with my current eating habits. If you want a tropical vibe in the city with yummy food and cocktail check out Baby Brasa.
